add to that:
- sex (also a big hit)
- anti-politician with humour
- Stupid humourous messages ("Babewatch" at the front/"Let the ugly ones drown" at the back
- Select a theme and make variations on the same subject |

An adaptation of a local visual icon along with the name of the city. (For instance, the Eiffel Tower as the little tag on top of a beret.)
An adaptation of a famous line from a movie, book, or TV show. (It must be changed enough to not infringe on the copyright holder of the original line.)
A tie-in with a popular local charity, festival, school function. You would have to get permission from the entity to use their name and agree ahead of time to a percentage of sales to them. (This is something you can tout in your marketing, "A portion of sales will go directly to support....)
Original art by local artists, again with them getting appropriate and agreed upon compensation.
Tees with large single letters, sold in sets, so that when wearers stand together, they spell out initials or slogans for local sports teams. (Be very carefull that the letters available can't be used to spell out any variations--accidently or purposefully--that would be objectionable such as curse words or slurs.) |

Hello,
My name is Mike and I operate a business that specializes in custom hand painted, airbrushed and heat transfered graphics/images. As far as a t-shirt design that will sell, well....thats a very broad and generalized question. With the mass diversity, hobbies, likes, dislikes of all the people in your area you need to find out what the best market to target would be demographicly. I'm located in Southern California so my target customer(s) are many. Just as an example, if I were to only target 1 to 3 hots they would be beach/ocean lovers which has many sub customers in itself like: surfers (young & pro level), moms and babies, body boarders and body surfers, beach rats (spend their life on the beach) and so on. You would want to research what is trendy for the specific target group and design from there. For example: with the young to 20+ croud skulls and such are very popular again so I offer variations of skull desigms with a beach or surfing theme to grab attention to my products.
