Go to your local hardware store and buy a bunch a cheap buckets. Then print of a few hundred business cards. Put 10 business cards in a bucket, along with a note that says, "From looking at your roof, you may be in need of an extra bucket with the rainy season coming." Place these buckets at the doorstep of people who look like they need some roof repairs, and wait for the calls to come in. People will be tickled with your unique and funny marketing tactic and you better believe when they, or somebody they know, needs roof repairs they are going to think of you FIRST. I would love to hear your results if you end up going with my idea. Good luck! |

If your company is small, the best way is personal selling. Meet your prospects, explain them the benefits of sourcing from your company vis-a-vis competition. If you are a big company or an MNC type one, have a big marketing team, go to advertisements in building magazines like inside-outside, go for ads in Television (if cost permits). Your marketing team should be well trained and should know thoroughly about your products as well as competitors. Participate in exhibitions related to building industry. Meeting architects will be of great help as they are the once who recommend a particular brand. You can also have a set of consultants on your payrole who have long experience in the industry or even retired ones). Try to know what the existing companies are doing in same industry (say metecno or roofit or hyedong india.....)Whatever you are and whatever you do MUST be followed up meticulously as todays world is very competitive. If you dont serve your customer properly, your competitor does. |

Tell everyone you know...word of mouth is the best advertising and the cheapest. Inform realtors of you qualifications...some home sellers/buyers may need some work done. Tell everybody in you church or other organizations you are a part of. Ask previous customers give references about your professionalism and effectiveness.
Talk to contractors...I am not familiar with how they work but don't they contract people to do jobs. I'm not sure...look into it.
When you talk to these people always dress nice and all of information (flyers, business cards, etc.) printed nice...it doesn't have to cost much. Good Luck! |
