Whats a good name for this business?

we are shortly opening a pottery business in Ireland can anyone suggest an apt business name and logo? Thank You

Logo: Teakettle & a Full plate

Name: Pots n' Pans

Depends on where you are opening it, I can think of pottery places simply named after their location.
i.e. Belleek Pottery - in Belleek, Fermanagh. Ballydougan Pottery in the townland of Ballydougan outside Tandragee. Tyrone Crystal (self explanatory!)

I'm just going to smash names into the box for ten minutes, then smash in a picture for another ten. I'll throw in some slogans at the end.

A good idea is to see what your competition has for names, not just locally, but internationally
You want to be different, as in create an experience or a need to your customers, "your pots make plants grow". Maybe give a seed sample with every pot over $10 (whatever your currency).

Maybe have a common theme around the place:

Wind chime Pottery: (Have wind chimes throughout the shop)
Dolphin Pottery: (Have dolphins scattered)

Names and logos:
Green Thumb's Pottery (Logo: a hand outstretched with four finger tips covered in pots like thimbles and the thumb is green)
Pot-A-Lot (Logo: A gnome posing in thought and sitting on an upside down pot)
Mr Pots (Logo: photo of just your head - Put a pot upside-down on your head with a silly grin with a vine with a flower on the end) - need some creative thought...
Mr Pot or Mrs/Ms/Miss (Logo: holding a pot in your hand with a lush plant and flowers growing out)
Pot Shot (.... Sorry, don't know your gun laws)
Hot to Pot (Two hands juggling pots)
Hot Pots (As above, maybe the pots are on fire)
Lucky Pottery (Pot/s growing a clover.... OR you sell every pot with a logo of: a pot with a four leaf clover on it - please check trade marking on this) - Slogan, every pot's a lucky pot
Pots of Gold (Ah.... Maybe a gold pot with a rainbow
Da Pot Shop (A cartoon image of a pot ie. Mr PotatoHead, but instead of a potato, use a pot)
Da Pot Man
Potting Mad (A real life photo of your pots, all in one spot and someone standing in the biggest pot with their arms spread-wide)
Enviro-pots (Your pots help the environment somehow)
Pot Around the Clock
Pottery Lottery (Slogan: Every pots a winner!)

We've gone pot-ting mad!
More pots then you can throw a gnome at

I hope that gave you some ideas.

Why don't you just start a competition in your local paper to name your pottery business that will be opened on "......". The prize is a yearly subscription to a gardening magazine and some new pots worth ".......".
Also, source out how much for a big plastic sign to put over your vacant business with "Name our business and WIN" instead of ".... opening soon".
People will turn head more if you've got "WIN" then opening soon.
That should generate some interest even before you open (if you go that way).

Before finding a name for a business i would suggest you first look into the vision of the business and after which you will get a name for it.

Your company name is part of its identity. Asking total strangers to come up with a name based upon the information you've given is a foolish exercise. Your company name should be something that reflects the location of your business or the quality of your products or the integrity your craftmanship. The logo should be developed after a name has been established.
