Add your details to all your emails in your email signature, and make sure your mates include your details in any emails they forward on. Get a Bebo page, and try a geocities web presence for free. Ask your local vet if you can put up posters, and stick some signs up in local shops, newsagents etc
good luck |

Word of mouth is great, it is free and it carries more weight, it helps me!. If you go on to Yell.com and advertise there, yellow pages will contact you and ask if you wish to be in the book. If you decide it will benefit your business, it costs around £110.00 per year. You can pay this over 10 months, so that ain't too bad. Good luck, Steve. |

BNI
www.bni-europe.com and search for a group near you.
You have to join (first 2 visits allowed without joining) you get to talk about your business each week for 60 secs, network with other members. Between each meeting members go out looking for business for each other and bring in referrals to pass the following week.
It works very well for a lot of people and word of mouth marketing is great for your business.
Often the referrals that are brought in for members materialise into businesss, do a good job with those clients and their will no doubt refer you to their friends, family and associates and so the ripple effect works. |

Hiya, my Dad recently started a new chauffer business and he went round to local companies speaking to managers, word of mouth is great so maybe talk to lots of people in the local area, put signs up in the shop windows. Also put signs up in all your local parks where the dog walkers go.
Good Luck x |

There are many way to advertise, the best medium is the net, and there are tons of free ways to get noticed. If you have a little site that is good if not create a page on http://www.squidoo.com all about your business, then you can write articles about your particular niche market, do this right and you will get good traffic to your site or page with your contact details on.

Start a Blog on dog care tips and once you get it going, promote it locally to get subscribers with fliers or pass along cards. You could use Blogger.com for free, but if I were doing it I would get a $5 account on Angry Hosting and set up Wordpress in one click. Then look into using do-follow and KeywordLuv to get listed in some directories to increase interactivity, which always makes your Blog look better. |
