TTI200 | When Cold Calling to set appointments, is it better to phone in or walk in? |
I'm not interested in hearing weather people like cold calls or not, just what is more effective. My experiences have worked out better on the phone for some reason but most ppl i talk to like to just walk in to a place of business and set an appointment. |

In my oppinion it depends on the type of business you are trying to attract. For instance, if you walk into a salon or day spa, it would be appropriate to ask for the owner or manager and if they have a receptionist, I would ask to set up an appointment with the manager or owner and leave your business card and any literature that pertains to your service. Usually if you give them the chance to look over what you have to offer they will return your call and give you an appointment to discuss your service. In other areas of business I would do a little research on it and decide if calling by phone or walking in would be the most appropriate. I have found that most businesses do better with someone who they have seen personally rather than a voice. |

get in to the company either way. walking in the front door works of a company always works, put the phone is also a good tool of the receptionist knows if they use your
product or service |

I do what I want..

I would always go with the phone first, it just depends how aggressive you like to be. It also depends what the individual needs of that particular company is. Research, find a need and go from there. You may have to just walk in on some. Good Luck!! |

Phone! Why leave the comfort of your home? I've always set appointments this way, and no one's ever complained. Places where you set appointments are businesses. They should be happy you even frequent their establishment. |

Not many businesses like cold callers walking in. Telephoning is easier and takes less time for the busy professional. If they then want to see you then an appointment can be set. Perhaps you could get together a really spiffy portfolio of what you are offering with an excellent presentation of yourself and product/service. Send the printed material first, follow up with a phone call to set an appointment to discuss the detail. Good luck. |

It depends on what you are calling them on. Sometimes the personal approach works better, because then they are not able to just brush you off of the phone or to someone else. On the phone you can more animated and sell the product more comfortably. |
