When searching for products online : ebay or amazon?
I am interested in making a little extra money from selling products online. My mum (she would be letting me use her account) says that for selling DVD's, games e.t.c, amazon is where most people look. However I am not so sure...

so where would you look first fot the following....

gifts :
clothes :
DVD's :
electronic games (DS games, PC games e.t.c) :
toys :
jewellery :

thanks for your help!!!

Gifts, clothes and jewellery I would look on amazon...I just trust that kinda thing more from them.

For DVDs, CDs, Games and toys I'd go to which ever is cheapest and new or in best condition. I'd probably check ebay first as they tend to be cheaper, but I do check both usually.

Play.com is also another online store to consider.

If you have a lot of things you want to sell at once maybe you could do a car boot sale. That kinda things sells well

Gifts: I'd buy new so Amazon
Clothes: Buy new only so neither Amazon nor Ebay.
DVDs: Amazon for new ones. Maybe for a more obscure/older/not widely available title I'd try Ebay.
Electronics: I would go Ebay I think if the seller had a good feeback.
Toys: New only and I wouldn't use either of the two sites.
Jewellery: For antique pieces/rare/unusual ones Ebay. For new, my local jewellers.

EBAY EBAY EBAY!!!

I never look on amazon for preowned stuff - only brand new.

Part Time Cynic
eBay or shops in town for all. I never have used Amazon and for books i usually use AbeBooks.

I always go to Ebay for everything first, especially clothes, gifts, toys and jewellery. DVDs and games would be the only thing i would list on Amazon as they are what amazon is most recognised for. But if your selling a lot of stuff at one time, i'd put everything on Ebay. People bidding on your stuff will likely look and see what else your selling so your more likely to get more people looking at everythin rather then just what they were looking for!

ebay of course

If you want to find a hot market and identify, which products sell most, then a great tool to use is Ebay Pulse. Here > http://pulse.ebay.co.uk/

www.pricegrabber.com. It will use e-bay, amazon, and many other websites to provide you with the lowest priced shipped. I do all my Christmas shopping from there. In fact I am done for this year.
