If you have money, they will send it. The person receiving it may need to provide an I.D., but most of the time it's just a question of the information he/she provides (name, address, etc.) matching the information you give them.

No age requirement, you just give X amount of money to your bank and they give you the money order check. Make sure you sign it or else people won't accept it since it wouldn't be valid without your signature.

They only ask for photo ID if it is for over $1000 (thats for postal money orders anyway... thats the only kind i have ever purchased) and there is no age limit on whom can purchase a money order.

i think any age, i dont know about the id part. i doubt it though. you are exchanging money for a paper document that works just like a check does. so it should be like sending cash through the mail, just its as safe as using a check.

i dont know what the rules are where you are, but here you can have a money order - provided you pay for it of course - at any age. The exception is if the amount is very large - over $10,000 - you cant do any transaction that large without proper id.
