It depends on the forum and their rules
Some forums such as WebmasterWorld will NOT even allow you to post sig files, and any sig files are removed
Others will allow you to include a sig file, so find those forums
Some sites such as Yahoo Answers allow you to post links in your profile
There are bloggers who accept comments with your sig files or links, while some will accept links only if you actually gave substantive comment or contribution (as against simply dropping your link)
Instead of thinking of where to drop links (and spam forums and blogs), why don't you create LINK BAITS -- content that is so compelling that forums will be abuzz with it and link to it and discuss it. Or share the link to many others in Digg and social bookmarking sites. Think of top 25 lists, or viral videos, or scoops and exposes. |

You are not allowed to post your links on yahoo answers. But you are allowed to post your link in your profile, So if you ask good questions and give good answers with Great content most people will want to know more about you.
Web sites are always looking for good content to post on their site so you can write articles and post them on free article sites and that will get your link out there.
There are tons of ways to get your link out there some forums is another great way. you just need to do a lot of research on the subject and find the way that you like best.

i you want to avoid advertising links on forums without spamming, advertise your links only once in every website everyday. That means a particular link on each day should only appear once. But there are lots of forum sites available anyway so you can advertise your links as many forum sites you can log on to. |
