You can make a magnetic sign for your car. Then you are a rolling billboard. (you can also print window decals) Or, some companies that put your logo and name on things such as t-shirts, pens etc will give you 50 or so free just to try 'em out. You can also try and network with other buisnesses in a unique way that will get the word out to their customers. I am not sure of your product so it is hard to specify exact ideas. There are so many ways to get the word out for any budget.
Edited to add: (special trick) If you are willing to do mailings, find out what type of people you are looking to sell to. Then, go to the Clerk Of Courts and you can buy a list of addresses to your specifications. Such as a list of people whom have lived in their home for over 3 years, those whose homes are worth over $100,000 etc. etc. I believe it is cheap too. |

One thing that you can do is depending on what you do try to get something for free to radio people. Cater a meal to their office if it's a restraunt, that kind of thing. Print up flyers at the library, normally pretty cheap if you make TOOO many. Pass them out, or give them as coupons to current clients so that they can give them to friends or other business owners. |

It depends on the business. If this is a website there are lots of places. You can try FFA(free for all pages) but these havent been proven to work. You may be able to talk another web site owner to trade links or banner ads with you, where you put an ad on his site and him on yours. You may also want to try link exchange sites. Here you surf to earn points which equal traffic. If your business is a website your number one goal is to get traffic. Let's look at none web based businesses.
If your business is local to one area you could try a few things. Flyers may work, but the problem is if no one looks at them they dont work. Putting flyers on houses is even less economical, but may be worth a try. You could also try putting coupons, business cards, or flyers in restuarants or stores. The main thing you want to do is figure out what you key demographic is: Who are you trying to sell your product or service to? Once you figure this out you can aim your marketing efforts at that group. |
