Two options for you: first, look for user groups where people who might want your products congregate. Then get involved in the life of the group, answering questions, providing helpful advice. Every time you post, make sure your signature line includes a link to your website, and a promise of a free premium if they come to your website and sign up. Then you will have the email addresses of people who have shown an interest n your product. These make great leads.
Two, write articles that deal with your business, and submit them to article directories like ezinearticles.com and amazines.com. Also include your website and premium offer in the signature box.
These two actions set you up as an expert in your area, and put you in touch with people who already have an interest in your product... |

Leads are tough...what you DON'T want to do is purchase cheap leads, you'll waste your time, money and energy.
I would check with the person who introduced you to the business and inquire there.
You also may try advertising on craigslist.com and backpage.com |

You can start by picking up your phone and cold calling. It's cheap, but not easy. When you are in business for yourself, sometimes it's necessary though. Good luck. |

The Library.... I swear it is a great place for salespeople... I have 10 library cards.. LOL. If you let the librarian know what you are trying to accomplish I promise you they will practically pull the information out and set it on the table for you.. |

To get responsive leads on the cheap isn't easy. If you are trying to drive traffic to a website you could purchase a list but it won't be very responsive.
You could approach someone in the same niche with a related product or service and ask them to do a joint venture with you buy co-promoting each others products.
They could send an email or direct mail promotion with your products featured.
You can also seek out newsletters in your target niche and advertise with them.
Check your local chamber of commerce and do some networking. Make a special offer for chamber members and ask the COC to send it to the memship.

I personally have not known of anyone having success buying leads. The information is old or the people do not appreciate your call because they aren't true leads.
Building your own leads lists generates the most productive leads.
As far as "surefire" , you'll just have to find something that works for you. |
