First thing is to get visitor numbers up. Have you got a stats. counter? This will tell you how many hits, where they come from etc. A good one is statcounter.com It is free and has an excellent forum. Has the site been well coded? This is most important, especially for the future. You will need TIME & EFFORT to get anywhere.
A site needs, as well as being well coded, optimised for search engines, site map and good, original content.Get that right first. Forget about link programs, affiliates etc. The main thing at the moment is visitor numbers and in particular targetted visitors, i.e visitors who are interested in your product or service. should consist of no more than 65 characters separated
by commas. The "Title" should describe in generic
terms, the goods and services, followed by a location
from which the resource is located, i.e., city, state.
The placement of a domain name which is not generic
within the "Title" is not appropriate, unless your
domain name is a major recognizable brand name.

The second metatag is the "Description" which is
usually 25-30 words to form a complete sentence which
best describes one's goods and services.

And the very last category - "Keywords" are also
somewhat limited to 15-16 words which can be plural
and compound in nature. Again, avoid multiple entries
which could be mistaken as "spamdexed entries" which
is defined as the loading, and submission of
repetitive words into a particular metatag category.
"Spamdexing" when discovered on a webpage and reported
to Google's spamreport.com can result in the
elimination of your website from their search
directory.

Not sure why anyone would buy a website if they were not proficient in promoting one, but there are some good salesmen out there pushing websites. Next they are going to try getting you to spend more to buy visitors and drag you down to the point of desperation to cover your costs. If you haven't figured it out yet, this is a scam.
