Honestly, you don't have the time to learn all you'd need to in order to be your own Marketing Director, which is what you need. Chances are, though, you probably don't have the budget/funds to hire one. BUT, you can look online for Marketing Consultants and Advertising Consultants who charge by the hour for their services. Here are some other possible sources for you:
• Contact your Local Chamber of Commerce for leads on marketing professionals/services in your area. Chances are, one such service mgiht be a member of the chamber.
• Get online and look for the local AdFed chapter. (That's Advertising Federation.) You'll probably find an online directory of local advertising agencies and independent professionals who might offer the services you need.
• If there is a local college/university that has a Communications program, consider asking one of their marketing professors to use your business as an assignment. If what you need is advertising creative, speak to someone in the Advertising department.
Also, you might want to look at BARTER services online, like on Craig's List. You can trade your service/product for that of a marketing professional's. Of course, I suggest that without knowing what your business is. I'll assume it's a dang good one, though. :)

Ask your customers for ideas, they are the ones purchasing your services or product. Loyality type cards do real well as well. WE can help you more if you told us what kind of business. |

Is your business online or offline.....not that it really matters because there are offline marketing approaches to online businesses as well as online marketing approaches to offline businesses.
Almost everything I mention here will require more effort than money. So if you are long on effort and short the other please take a gander through the links below.
No matter where you find yourself in all of this I believe you could benefit from looking at the links below that relate to services, service selling, hard goods selling and e-goods selling.

I have to agree with the others. Without more knowledge about the business it would be difficult to give any specific details. However, there are books on marketing out there. there are also marketing firms that exist specifically to help other businesses market their products/services. |
