If it's hand-delivered then all you can do is nail your letterbox shut and put a seal around your door, if it's actually delivered by Royal Mail you can contact them to put you on a 'no unsolicited mail' list, they will no longer deliver stuff that's obviously junk mail. |

Telephone preferential service (think that's what its called) will handle your queries about junk mail, and start to remove it from your post. start here www.tpsonline.org.uk and follow the thread |

Register with this website, then you should start to see a reduction in the amount of junk mail you receive through the post. You can also do it so you do not get people cold calling you on the phone.
It works I did some years ago.

You can get the Mailing Preference Service to stop direct mailing to you - http://www.mpsonline.org.uk/mpsr/
However, what you're describing are probably flyers delivered by hand - often businesses get kids to do this and I doubt if you will ever stop that. It's no good shouting at the deliverers, they're only doing what they've been asked and they won't take any notice anyway. |

Maz22c has started you in the right direction. Also, don't underestimate the power of a simple sign - we got one made that says 'Royal Mail Only Please' and that's been a big help - a short Internet search will give you a company that can do that for you and it only cost about a tenner delivered. With the charity bags a number of them have an arrangement with the post office that you can return them without postage and they will be delivered, so just chuck them in envelope and send them back.
Oh yeah, and someone has mentioned the fact that sometimes the kids who deliver these things are told to ignore signs etc - for these ones the only thing I've figured out to do so far is if I happen to be home when one is delivered I go straight out and give it back to the deliverer and say in a very firm manner that in future could they please not ignore signs requesting no junk on letterboxes.
Thanks for a great question. It's an endless struggle to get away from these bl**dy things! |

Anything that comes with a return envelope, just stuff it back into that, along with the pizza menus, and send it back. They will soon stop sending things that you don't want. |

http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/phones/no-more-junk this website shows you how to stop junk mail through the post. If its hand delivered by your local kebab shop you could try a notice on the door asking them not to post it. I've seen quite a few of these notices, but I dont know if they work or not! |

If they are delivered by the local kebab shop or volunteers for charity, then you can't really do much. You could try a notice such as "no unsolicited mail thank you", by your letterbox, but not all would understand that, and post regardless. Keep them for recycling.
Junk post can be stopped, try website below. |

The post office I would say-or you could contact the restaurants but I doubt they would take much notice. |

Save it all up and then you could post it all back to them? If it came with the morning post & has your adress on it, just write return to sender on it & post it back. If its just leaflets, recycle them. |
