Why don't you try nice offers.com? They'll help you promote your business and create coupons for you. This way you'll know that everyone who comes to you with that coupon was referred by nice offers. com? What's in it for you? You decide how much you'll pay per individual that they refer to you. And you pay only AFTER you see results. Check out:http://www.moreinfo247.com/9252852.22/NOC |

You've got some great ideas so I really hesitate to chuck in my humble ones. Focus on a high density housing area & drop small leaflets (you can get 10000 A5 for £55). Get some business cards. Specialise. Do not try to be jack of all trades - you will appear to be master of none. People want to feel they are using an expert/specialist. Understand who your customers are & what they need. Offer something that "looks" unusual. It does not have to be really unusual but just something your competitors are not saying. Yellow pages (but not if strapped for cash). When you do get work satisfy your customers & ask for testimonials. Consider what part of the business is the most profitable. Keep in as tight a geographical area as possible. Cards in shops or supermarkets - but think about yoru image. Have pitures of your work (on a website, in a folder). Join networking groups e.g. property groups (cost ca. £10 perevening). Focus on what you enjoy & are proud of. I am not being paid enough for this!!!! Good luck. Pesist, persist. persist |

After 13 Years Self Employed I find the best advertisment is word of mouth.
Place a simple not to flash Advertisment in the yellow pagesl work on Kis Keep it Simple
Next keep the cost down; you get everyone telling you to spend spend spend on advertisment, local paper, Radio, Web Pages anbd so on your spend mmore on outgoing advertisment than you will on getting work done. Dont spend your profit before you've enarned it.
Walk around and post some flyers into local building business and get some printer and take them round. Do the foot work once you start getting the work 1 or 2 job and you do that little extra for your money then word of mouth will take over.
That my best advice. Best of luck it a big step to take. |

Compared to offline businesses, the investment required to start an online business is minimal. A popular way of earning money on the internet is by providing information and services. This can be monetised by advertising or charging a subscription. You can also make money online by selling products on auction websites like eBay or through your own website. Look at which directories your competitors advertise in and take an ad yourself - but don't expect an immediate response and make sure you answer your phone so when the inquiry comes your don't loss it to a competitor because you had your phone turned off (customer service starts here). Make sure you record how may calls you get, the conversion rate and the income you make, because next year they'll be wanting you to renew your ad and you need to know if it was worth the cost.
Local door drops can work but they tend to be long term things - people stuff your leaflet in a draw until they need you. If your looking for work right now you need to get out and network.
If you've not got work or money, but plenty of time, try visiting new developments or go round industrial estates and knock on the doors of companies who could use your skills; you'll get plenty of knock backs but you only need one or two customers to make a start.
If you can afford it get something printed to leave behind. Make sure any marketing material you produce is benefit lead. Have your "elevator speach" prepared, this is: a verbal description of what you can do for a possible customer that you can delivered in 30 seconds or less (the time it takes to get ito and out of a elevator. Attend local business events - more networking.
Approach your local newspaper they will often run articles on new business startups. If you give them an interesting angle - such as something you've done for a local charity, so much the better.
When you do get contracts make sure every customer is satisfied with your work, these people will give you word of mouth recommendation and that's the best, not to mention cheapest form of advertising and new business you can get.
Best of luck |
