I just started a new car dealership, and I want to get the word out! I just printed out 1,000 flyers and want to distribute them. I know that putting them into mailboxes is illegal, and placing them on windshields are quite annoying. So where should i place them? Would the local auto parts( autozone, kragen, pep boys) let me leave some flyers at the register? any and all ideas would help. Cheers. |

Try this:
Have someone to help you, related normally helps as they don't expect payment : - ).
Get them to stand in front of two of the most popular stores in your town, hand out the flyers to only those that are coming out of the store! That way you don't give the same person two flyers.
Also, try the free newspapers or those types of things. There are those things that hold the FREE newspapers and things like that. You can always slip a few in there when no one is looking. That works good on most circumstances and no one can say anything really as it's not illegal!
You can offer a small amount to anyone that referrs someone as well. Say for instance, $20 if you refer a friend or relative! |

Wherever you distribute them make sure to have permission from either the city or business that will host your flyers. Ask local banks and credit unions to post on bulletin boards or mail with their statements. Post flyers at store or college bulletin boards. Be creative but always ask for permission. Your target is people looking for a new car not everyone so make the most of those 1,000 flyers by getting them in the right hands. Those tax rebates are going out so NOW is the time to reach the active buyers. |

I would say, a place where there's lots of people not really doing much; if you gave them out in a shopping centre, people are shopping and won't want to waste time.
Places where people are relaxed and not too busy to read or accept flyers. Also, places where they need cars. =D
It depends on what type of cars you specialise in, what deals you offer - who you are selling to; families, businesses... because if you want to sell it to families - distribute in family places where they may want a new car. If you're selling sports cars that flash, single men want to buy - distribute in places where they would gather - pool clubs, etc...
It really depends on what your market product is, who you're marketing to and what you offer.

check with smaller local newspapers - they are generally reasonable and will put the flyer in each newspaper (around here you can have 1000 flyers distributed for about $50-65 in a local newspaper) |
