I've only been on Yahoo Answers for a couple of weeks and I find that there are a lot of biased and inaccurate statements made that I am unable to respond to effectively in that format. Forum's allow continual debate and correction of inaccuracies and in that respect work better for me but some people are just happy to make their comment and leave it at that so yahoo Answers probably works better for them.
I would say that it depends on how deeply you want to debate an issue as to which format you would prefer. For a quick and general indication of opinion on an issue Yahoo is best but for more informed debate a forum is preferable. Either way the quality of participation is the most important aspect of either. |

It depends on what you are asking. For instance, if you can find a forum that is specific to the type of question you're asking like if you have an electronics questions, I would go with the forum.
On the other hand, if you have a general questions like ones that involve life or philosophy, I would stick with Yahoo. |
