I would say that walmart is the better (more successful) company because the have more locations,worldwide, than target. however walmarts products are genrally not made as well as targets products. thats how they can afford the low prices. |

If going just for groceries... Publix or HEB depending on state.
It's hard to beat the one stop shop location for that weekend stop over to pick up a few things, browse for dvds etc. For this SuperTarget by far, better attitude, better people, better policies. Only negative for me is the glaring red which irritates my eyes, and the lack of a SuperTarget in my near vicinity. Which leads me to Target's biggest problem ... location location location... they focused on KMart too much IMO and missed the grand store boat. |

Target. It is better and treats its employees better and less agressive towards their suppliers. Target is more socially responsible than Walmart. They do not move into a small town and wipe out the local businesses. |

In my opinion Wal-Mart is better than Target. Wal-Mart offers lower prices and better benefits. They have a strict policy against sexual harassment and working off the clock. |

Wal Mart has cheaper prices on some things, such as tp and laundry detergent. |

It depends on which location you visit. Last year, a local news did a coverage about this topic in November, 2005. They compared 15 items for price across the nation. They found out that product prices varies town to town, even store to store. But overall, their average prices were very similar. One of the reasons why people believe everything at Walmart is cheaper than Target is because of their advertising. But it isn't true.
Personally, I'd prefer Target over Walmart because of cleanliness. |
