they are going after trader joe's in the states and have no chance...trader joe's is awesome and needs to come to the UK. Fresh and Easy will likely lose a bunch of money but hopefully Tesco will learn enough to improve the UK stores
they are already competing with walmart (asda) in the UK using suppliers to Target; walmarts main competitor in the US.
They are going after one market segment (upmarket) in the US and downmarket in the UK....a recipe for disaster.
Tesco still has a monopoly where we live so I drive 40 miles to Asda where I don't feel like I am getting screwed if I don't bring my clubcard.
