Out of these choices the 2 for 1 would probably be best however maybe run a free meal special. Something like "Free Chips and a Drink" with every purchase *for a limited time...
The free sandwich is a great promotion, however, getting a free meal will keep your shop's margin down because fountain drinks and chips are fairly low expense items. In addition it caters to everyone not just a group of people...

Free sub sandwich when you buy two.
Of course, this depends on the price of a sub sandwich. If they are $20 each, then the $5 off offer would be better.
But I presume your sub sandwiches are around $7 each. Then, even if I only wanted one sandwich, I would be tempted to take this offer. Three sandwiches for $14 is probably a good buy.
I could always take the other two sandwiches home and put them in the fridge and eat them later.
That way, I get a $7 sandwich for $4.67. |
