Mapper | Which one is the best advertising slogan for my website? |
I have come up with a few different slogans. One will be placed on a screen printed T-shirt. Which one do you like best and why?
1. The word "SHhhh!" At the top with the logo and www.backcountrysecrets.com underneath
2. The phrase. "Everyone Has A Secret. What's Yours?" with the web address www.backcountrysecrets.com
3. The phrase, "New in town?" with the logo and web address underneath.
The purpose of the site is to allow outdoor enthuisiasts to share good locations to participate in outdoor sports.
I'm also open to other ideas if you have any. |

I like the logo by the way. I personally like all of them, because they all tell the point.
1.) "Shhhh!" says: Be quiet we're in the outdoors.
2.) "Everyone has a secret. What's yours?" says: I've got something to tell you if you tell me something.
3.) "New in town?" says: Don't know where to go, come here and I'll help you find your way.
I like 2. and 3. the best, but I personally think that 3.) "New in town?" says it best. Not to be mean, but 2. with the website "sounds" like a Victoria Secret ad, but as long as the logo is next to it, it doesn't look that way.
P.S. My husband and I are always looking for outdoor stuff, I'll let him and others know about your site. Good Luck! |

Your website and more importantly your domain name are one of your most important assets, so you`re off to a good start. Then you have the issue of attracting new customers to your site. This in itself is a minefield, but is very easy to do and done correctly, will reap you the rewards. Trouble is not many people know how to do it properly. I have some usefull info that I will gladly send you for free, which will help you learn how to do it properly and attract new customers to your chosen business...good luck |

I vote for option 2... It grabs your attention and gets you wondering... Baited phrases like this are at a height in advertising right now... Ex. the Now What? ads for nowwhat.com. You throw an appealing question out there, people will want the answer. Maybe they'll remember it when they're bored on the inernet at work, maybe they will interpret it as being sexual or something taboo..doesn'treally matter. The point is to get them to your website and let it go from there.

Because it's specific and it gives me more info. I'm lazy. I can't tell what "SHhhh!" is selling, and I usually don't care to find out. "New in town?" makes me assume you're selling rental apartments or condos.
However. I think you can do better than #2. #2 makes me think of confessions. |

Word of mouth is the best advertising so ,how can that be if people don't know what your business is. I come from a family of successful business owners. I am not trying to be negative just honest. Think about ING .Remember the advertisement that was on national television every 2 min. That worked because it was at that level but, you need to let people know what you have to offer. I live near to a space museum but., I have not visited it due to lack of explanation in advertisement .I wasn't sure enough just to walk in. |
