And boy do I know that I'm going to get a lot of hateful responses to this question. I just joined Quixtar last month. I'm going to be honest here. I only heard about Quixtar/Amway because my boyfriend was involved and I wanted to be a supportive girlfriend. For the first 6 months of our relationship I had no interest in joining up. I've always been pretty skeptical of everything and just didn't even put the thought in my mind to give it a try. I'd go the the meetings with him sometimes but to me it was more for the reason of, "I just want to spend time with my boyfriend tonight so I'm going to go with him." Basically it was just a date night for me and an opportunity to spend time with him. I've always been broke. Raised by a single mother and now am a single mother. I'm used to being broke and have found a way to be a generally happy or O.K. person without money. just join this thing?" The thing is, what am I doing in my life right now that isn't already taking money from me? I'm not a brain surgeon or some fancy architect. I'm a 22 year old mom who sits in a cubicle 8 hours a day. I work for two weeks, get a small check, spend it on what I can to get me through the next two weeks, end up back at $0 and start all over again. I began telling myself that I would be a fool not to give it a shot. People are so afraid of trying new things that they automatically just close their minds to it. Anyway the real reason I asked this question is because I went online and found several blog sites of people trash talking Quixtar. I went into this knowing that I might not succeed at it. That was MY CHOICE to join anyway. If you join and find after two years that you have gone no-where, even if you show 20 plans a month, then maybe you should look at yourself and how you are approaching people. Are you coming across perhaps a little too desperate?
