because they are an evil money making corporation, and want to get what they can, i dont believe all this money being pumped into banks will be used for the best reasons, theres already storeys of top boss's going on 500,000 pound holidays etc with bail outs!!! |

As with all banks, Halifax need our money to pay their wages, enable their executives to have their holidays, preferably 3 a year, and to use our money to trick others with high investment accounts, and give them their interest, which is our money. And to momentarily bail them out of the sh*t. |

They still have a business to run and they need investment to do this.
It may sound silly but did the Government change the safety net to £50,000 or was it 50.000 euro which would work out roughly at £35,000 which is where it was prior to this generous gesture?
I would put my money into the Halifax quicker than the Abbey National who are so greedy that the help the government gave them in the form of interest rate cuts is not being passed on to the customer but being kept by greedy bosses to back up their massive payouts when our money goes into a black hole.
If you have £100 or £1,000,000 in these accounts you should get it all back at the end of the day its your money and until the markets went into free fall how many investors were told about the limit of return on your savings and investments. |

So that they can see how stupid people are and to pay for their own salaries and things they dont care about investors at all so long as they get their share thats all they worry about, its happened here to with telephone companies not only did the public get burned but the government lost money as well and so did one or two of our prime rich listers to boot, I certainly wouldnt try and save a sinking ship with my hard earned cash, might as well just flush it down the loo or throw it away! :) |
