Does it help or hurt their marketing? I think some people should leave out the picture. I am in the insurance business and would consider using a photo of myself in my ads if it really helps. |

it puts people at ease seeing who they are dealing with... it puts a name to a face, anything that can bring you closer to those you will be working with puts them at ease... I use a picture in my ad and it works great.

I think it's a bad idea...I saw one guy, a financial advisor, on a billboard, and then I saw him at a bar, drunk and messing around with a nasty woman. He had on a wedding band. I would never do business with him. |

But... how will you know?
With most agents, the ad itself is lame and weak, has no headline, no USP, no call to action and no way to measure success.
However if you include those elements, and test 2 versions of the ad, identical except with and without photo, you'll have your answer. |

People do business with people, and I think they want to convey they will be dealing with a person rather than a "faceless" corporation. I think that as an insurance agent, putting your picture on your business cards, letterhead, sales letters can only help. Unless you look like Shrek. Consult Dan Kennedy's stuff for some more advice. |

Most of realestate bus depends on personal relations and faith.
Displaing and pleasent image gives a mindset to a customer with whom they are dealing with.
And yes theres lost of fordgery in this business so may be image can help in preventing atleast some part of it. |

In these business, you may need to deal with people for months/years and want them to remember you, remember your face.
In marketing we need a slogan or logo for people to link to the product more easier.

I'm in real estate and it's relatively a new trend in the past few years to put a picture of yourself on your business card etc. It puts a face with a perspective client. It hasn't hurt me in any way. I leave my cards at restaurants etc, and people tend not to throw away a business card with a photo on there. |
