Raj S | Why do you think it is important for organisations to realise customer's needs and wants? give reasons? |

Because if customer's needs/wants don't come first the customer will just go elsewhere. The customer is the one with the money to buy the service, no service, no money, simple as that.
Same goes for aftercare, poor customer service there, don't go back to the same organisation. |

Customers have so many options, so why would they go to any organization that didn't offer that they wanted? They might go once, bit if their needs aren't met they won't return, and repeat business is a must for success. So if the company wants to stay in business, they had better realize both issues, and quickly. |

Yes of course, because the customer buys want the customer wants or needs, and so for a business to operate it needs to make profit by selling to customers...
However different countries have slightly different cultural approaches to this. I've been told that in the USA the salesman will bend over backwards to try to convince the customer that they want something, they'll even lie if they think they'll get away with it- whereas apparently in Scandinavian countries there are a lot fewer salesman, because the mark of quality is that good products speak for themselves, so they don't needs salesmen. |

As human beings we all needs basic needs in order to survive i.e food and shelter, and as more sophisticated and wealthy individuals we increasingly have a range of wants too that go beyond the purely simplistic survival-based needs. Therefore, companies realease customer's needs and wants for our survival and to satisfy us in order for the company to make maximum profit cos that's the main goal for all companies :). |

lost on many levels during the question and answer part of any customer interview with the representative of the organization is the definitions of words which are quite often said in one manner and meant in another and yet third understood in a totally different way. so in order to not let semantics inhibit the true nature of a customers needs and wants being unassumingly taken for granted. The organization needs to identify the needs, verify the use, understand the want and create the desire to own the right item for the job. If the organization is the best at what it sells services or does it will get the right (proper and correct) product , service or other for the job. (period)(but) The problem lies within the singularly poorly managed organizations whose product, service or other just doesn't quite meet the needs or expectations of the "certain" customer. but because the sales person was so strong they were able to sell the wrong item that could have been of better design or more efficient manufacture but will inevitably leave the customer without exactly what they needed but was sold the wrong product, service or other in order to meet the numbers crunching organization's push for more sales. |
