Why does apple rely on negative advertising?
the only apple commercials you see now are not boasting what features a mac has, but rather attempting to demean issues that are only relevant with outdated pc's. are they that desperate for customers?

It's about shine and lust.... and word of mouth, or in your case word of Internet.
Apple will not convince the world that macs are better with an ad. But they will bring it into the forefront of your brain.
Apple may not convince a diehard pc person, but they will convince many people who have had bad pc experiences.
Compare the the blatant lies that IBM and Microsoft have in their ads!

I'll admit that it is negative, but they do boast what a mac can do. Have you ever watched one of these commercials? the premise is the PC tries to do something and the Mac says how he can do it better.
They are only doing what political candidates have done for years. Knock down the other guy while trying to look good themselves.
Let the mud-slinging begin.
FYI: I love my Mac and never have software issues (like the other guys)
