Why does my site appear better on Yahoo than Google search results?
I've recently set up a new web shop:
http://www.in-home-network.co.uk
Having submitted the web site to search engines and chosen keyword, we appear to show on yahoo searches but not google searches. Is there something google do differently to yahoo?
Some search engines only look at the first 3 keywords in your list so make sure the most important ones are at the beginning of the list. Also, I believe that the commas are ignored so all the words in the list are treated individually. Hence you should remove all duplicated words e.g. network and cable are repeated several times.
Hope this helps.

Hi,
The algorithm of Yahoo and Google or any other search engine which analyzes the required amount of data of a website w.r.t their own set of regulations differ with each other.
So, If your website is good at content and the website is newly launched its better equipped to rank on Yahoo. If your website is old enough & has quality backlinks its better equipped to rank on Google.
This is to say that if your website satisfies the requirements & regulations of that particular search engines algorithm it is set to rank on that particular search engine.

Apart from your domain name publication on Yahoo and Google search engines, it appears that your current SEO metatags are not specific enough to elevate your website within the top 20 PRs.
Good luck!
just trying to make a difference
mine did this too, so perhaps it's quite common!

Google bases ranking on the number of sites that are linked to your site.
