I am not agree with Number one answer: avoid paying, especially pay per click. I did try everything and the most sensible was submission by myself and very cheap advert at some blog website. All that expensive good for nothing adv sites are don't worth one single penny spend on them |

it's probably too soon for the crawlers to get round to your site.
Go to https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/sitestatus and check your site's indexing status with Google. If it doesn't show up, there are a variety of things you can do to speed up the process, not least, submitting a sitemap in xml or txt format.
Google Webmaster Central will tell you how to do this. |

First of all, you have to make sure you have appropriate meta tags. Search engines can't find you if they don't know what they are looking for. Secondly, you need to submit your website to different search engines. This does not cost money, although you can pay money for highlighted listings at the top or side of the page. |

ignore all those that say you have to pay to get into a search engine - even if you pay - that is to review the site there is no gaurantee that the search engine will include the site.
You have not posted the URL so I can't tell you specifics.
To get into the search engines, their spiders have to find you. Best way to that is to get links from other sites that in your chosen search engine.
If you have only just put the web site up - it takes time. |

If you are concerned with only Google search then its probably in the sandbox awaiting :o), unless you have some good authoritative links going to your site. You will be in the "SandBox" for awhile unless you start link building and networking while this is one example there are many other things that can help you start to rank and get you out the BOX |

Hi there,
You absolutely do NOT have to pay to be in the organic search listings. I think some of the other answers have your questions mixed up with pay per click, when you do a search usually the top two or three answers on the page in a blue or yellow box are paid and all the listings on the right hand side.
The engines have not found your site. You need to get your website link on a another site that does get spidered quite often to get listed in a timely fashion. You also should take some time to learn about organic search engine optimization if you plan to take this site even further.

You do NOT have to pay the search engines to get listed. You just have to give them a little time to find you. The only way they'll find you is if you get some other sites linking back to you. You can do that a couple different ways:
1. ask the owner of another site that is already listed to add a link to your site.
2. post some comments in forums and discussion groups and include a link to your site in your signature file (don't spam!)
3. write an article and submit it to ezinearticles.com
4. start a lens on squidoo and link to your site
If you do #2-4 you should be listed within a day or two |

- To get indexed it is important to post to some forums such as :
webproworld, v7n, digitalpoint, sitepoint, and use your signature with your web site url,
- comment in blog, search for "seo blogs" or "blog your keywords"
- try to get some questions in yahoo annwers and if you get a question that your web site will be your resources.

add your keywords and it will give your many web site where you will add your link (but your web site is free and generally they did not accept it).
My recommendation is to use yahoo answers and forums. |
