I believe, that you don't see alot of adds for chewing gums, anymore because the price of commercial space on tv is too expensive for the gum companies! All, the commercials on tv now, seem to be for luxery goods and gum is inexpensive! That's why you see more adds for gum in magazines, now!!!!! |

I agree they do not have then many ads on television for chewing gum although they do have some. But those are never for the major companies(like wrigley who has virtually monopolized the gum industry). The smaller gum companies mostly just do it to gain visibility from a larger group of people for their product, because they dont have the advantage of wrigley(where 19/20 packs of gum in a store are theirs). |

well there are ad's on t-shirts .. i have a Juicy fruit gum t-shirt and that is a form of advertising and also there is hubba bubba t-shirts and ... probably excel and on the tv there is like trident so there is>> |

There is one for Orbit, trident, and that's all I can think of. I think the reason they dont have them is because gum is like $1.00 and it would be pathetic to get people to try and persuade others to buy it because Commercials cost a whole lot and it wouldn't even be worth it, lol!!! |

There are ads for chewing gum... haven't you ever seen commercials for Stride gum?? How about the Doublemint twins for Doublemint gum? There are tons of ads for Bubblicious and sugary gums on kids channels such as Nickelodeon and Disney channel. You are probably just watching the wrong channels or you are not paying attention. |
