Is there any way I can edit my codes for more relevant adds or something? I am averaging 2-5 cents a click. Had 14 clicks the other day for a grand total of .89 cents. Its really bad considering I know some people make .50-$1.00 a click. |

No you cannot tamper the code. Doing so can lead to your termination from the program. It is against the Adsense Program Policies to change their code without Google's consent
If you only have 14 clicks, the problem can either be:
- little to no traffic
- poor implementation of ads
- low paying keywords
If you wish to improve your EPC or earnings per click, look at the following factors and see which ones can you do to improve the price of your keywords:
1. keywords shown on your site
2. level of advertiser bidding on your site - e.g. keywords "diamond" is worth more than "squirrel games" because more advertisers are willing to spend money on those interested in diamonds
3. your traffic levels - the more traffic you have, the better
4. your CTR rate - the higher the better and this depends on the responsiveness of your audience to your ads, your ad placement, your ad colors
5. smartpricing - the big unknown in Adsense
Your content may not be something that attracts stiff competition from advertisers, or advertisers are not paying much for your audiences. If this is the case, try adding content related to the overall theme of your site that may pay well.
Or do every effort to grow your traffic. I know of sites with cheap keywords but are earning high 5 figures a month from Adsense because of their gazillion traffic |

AdSense is based on PPC (Pay per clicks). Your visitors need to click on Google Ads in order you can get something. And how much ? Well, this depends of many things like the keyword bid price and competition and even ... origin of your visitors. US and UK visitors gets you a higher value than many Asian originated visitors.
This is how most of Internet advertisement programs work. I ended myself very often with 0.01 per clicks!
However, recently, a new program has been launched with a completely different business model. You get paid for every visitors, without the need for clicks!

Do not try to "tamper" with the code, and don't try to "trick" Google. Even if you succeed for a short time, it won't last -- and any earnings would likely be forfeited.
Revenue from AdSense is directly related to the value of your visitors (based on your site's content) to the advertisers on Google AdWords. Higher "per-click" rates apply to sites that match keywords and concepts that are competitive (such as "buy new toyota" or "car insurance" or "web hosting"). However, it's much harder to compete for legitimate traffic in these competitive categories. |

You may also consider alternatives to Adsense. If your website is topical, there is a high likelihood that you can find an affiliate offer of some sort that you can drive traffic to in either a % share of the revenue with the product vendor or a cost per action where you'll receive some payout if your visitors complete a form or sign up for something.

and you can always go with amazon.com as well.
Ever since Google allowed adwords bidders to bid separately for their content network than for their search network, it is more and more difficult to get good adsense revenue.
