you mean never goes DOWN in price? well, think about it. if you dominate over 40percent of the athletics industry, have your brand name on every major sucessful athlete in the world, and try to establish yourself as the best and coolest out there, why would you bring down your price? everyone will be willing to pay your demanded price to have your product, and the higher the price, the more exclusive you will come off as. plus, higher price subconsciously means higher quality. all in all, nike has no reason to bring down their prices because people are all over them. |

The cost of materials never goes down, therefore the price of the shoes will never go down. Other that that I don't know. |

They make more money by being expensive. All the money they spend on advertizing has to come from somewhere. |

Nike never goes down in price because people are willing to pay $20.00 for a shirt. They don't normally even care about the shirt, but want the logo. It's the same reason gas prices keep going up. . . people will drive their cars if gas is $0.99/gallon or $3.00/gallon. Well,, if people are going to buy it if it's a low price or a high price... you may as well have it at the high price to make more profit. Items will be priced as high as people are willing to pay for it. |
