Would you buy a travel website for $500?

Would you buy a travel website for $500 then make money off of commissions booked through it?

I might, if I calculated that it was worth it.

But then again, it might be easier to create your own site from scratch.

Questions that I would ask first;

1. What is special about this site?
2. How much traffic does it have?
3. How much revenue does it generate?
4. How passionate am I about owning a travel site?
5. Do I know of any examples of sites that make money off of booked commissions?

If I could get good answers to the above questions then maybe I might do it.

No, I would not. Most of the online travel biz's are under scrutiny right now, not enough money in the commissions and more push to recruit than sell.

absolutely not, unless there commissions where 90% or more, I personally would not invest that much into something, especially if it is your first time in the Online Marketing Game

I would if it was making more then $70 a month, if it isn't currently making more then $70 a month then it would be just a waste of time. However having said that it may have potential but unlikely. Good Luck

Stay away from YTB. They are an MLM company that makes most of their money off of recruitment fees. You can work with the legitimate side of the company and promote your website but they will try everything to stop you from doing that. Mostly, they just tell you that you do not understand.
