I am in the process of setting up an ecommerce website which at the moment is very basic (well it is my first attempt). I would like your opinion on how I can improve it, also how I can get it recognised by search engines (at the moment you will have to put www.partyprice.co.uk in the address bar)
- Get rid of the %£%£%£%£%£%£
- Get some decent graphics or get rid of them altogether.
- Get rid of the photos of naked women unless you are selling porn.
- Use a normal font if you want the shop to look reputable.
- You can buy waistcoats AND cravats on ebay for 29.99 - which is a better deal than yours but you are not linking to Ebay, only to sites which don't sell what you sell.

I am so sorry to send you this message but i am trying to be honest with you. The colour is really annoying and after 10 seconds the visitors will get headache. Its not user friendly at all. also about the search engines you need to know how to seo the dynamic pages.

I agree with the above post.
It needs to have a good calm shopping color scheme.
It lacks order. Things look all over the place and it's hard to focus on one thing.
Your graphics do need updating. Take a look at http://www.dreamstime.com's graphics and you'll see what he's talking about.
The fact that you can program an ecommerce site is a great skill. You just have to get the design right and it will be fine.
You should look at popular ecommerce sites. Try to mimic what you see and you should come up with a unique site of your own.

Your main aim should be to get traffic to your site and to have the site packed with good content - then the Search Engines will start taking a look at you.
