I want to support used and new online book sellers here in canada. is this possible through using Amazon. or, do you know of another online new and used booksellers that is here in Canada? i ahve been on Chapters/indigo, but they do not have very much of a used book selection.

However, AbeBooks is based in B.C. It includes booksellers from all over the world but you can list the Canadian sellers at http://www.abebooks.com/servlet/BookstoreSearch?ph=2 - there are 673 such sellers. And of course, by purchasing through ABE you are keeping some fellow Canadians employed.
Alibris.com has both US and Canadian sellers and you can see where each seller is located before you purchase the book.
Amazon.ca has some Canadian sellers that don't appear on Amazon.com (as well as sellers form elsewhere - check where they ship from before you buy).
Biblio.com allows you to list all their Booksellers in Canada at http://www.biblio.com/pages/canada_map.html However, you need to set up an account to see this (there is no cost to do so).
