Huh? You mean you WANT the check to bounce, or you're looking for reasons WHY a check would bounce. Big difference.
And people say the bad grammar on here is no big deal... how is anyone supposed to answer this question correctly? |

There truly is not good reason to bounce a check. Doing that causes your Bank to flag your account and you risk the possiblity of having no account at all and if you do get an account again it's one with no checks and a Debit Card that charges hella fees. Now if you you want 10 reasons I can give you two.
1. ChexSystems will prevent you from opening a checking account for five years if your account is closed due to NSF activity.
2. Don't end up like me.
Good Luck...... |

9. The bigger the check the harder it bounces
10. I'm so obsessed with getting picked with the best answer that I missed reason number 6.
...and you are so looking for a good reason to do something bad like bouncing a check that you had to scroll back up and see for yourself that I didn't give you a reason number 6. |

There really is no reason to make a cheque (Canadian spelling) bounce. In the end, you will pay an NSF fee which can range from $15 to $30 and even more importantly this can erode your credibility. Finally, you can be charged if knowingly writing bad cheques with penalties varying depending on the jurisdiction. |

1- No food
2- No gas for car
3- No clothes to start new job
4- No clothes for a special occasion
5- No money to pay doctor/dentist
6- No power in your house
7- No money to take public transportation
8- No money for car repair
9- No money for partner's b'day gift
10-No money left to return from vacation
Those are some of the reasons people might let a check bounce, but it's a really bad thing to do. Your credit rating goes down the tubes, you get charged something like $30 by your bank and another $25 from the store, they might close your checking account.
It would have to be a real emergency for me to do that, and I hope I never have one that big. |

The only good reason to bounce a check is if you have no dependents, it's the last check you will ever make, and you are making it out to your undertaker! |

You could bounce a cheque to a company you don't like.... like the gas board or your credit card company! (best advised against as they will most likely charge you massive fees!) |
