Take advance payment,
ship products on no gurantee or warranty basis,
and ship products on Free on board FOB or ex factory basis
Also ask for his Letter of Credit if you are going to give him credit but my advise is ask him to produce authenticated references of his previous dealings.

Do you know them? If not, 99.9% they are a fraud. Easy way to check: let them put the money in escrow at an international bank. No funny checks or so. |

Tread very cautiously as if you were in a minefield - there were black Africans who said they were Nigerian businessmen conning locals here a few years ago - some were beaten; some arrested and deported.
Perhaps the best thing you can do is to check out the company with the Nigerian embassy/consulate - they would be better positioned to advise you. Nothing can be verified through email. |
