Sad, but right. Many people spend their life working their *** out for a degree, a Masters or even a PhD. After all those years, they still have to compete with other people, maybe not as smart as you are, but they've got contacts. Smart thing to do: find a job, save money and open your own company! That's the only way to achieve wealth. |

i don't agree. i would rather have knowledge than wealth. that does make sense though. perhaps a rapper does make a lot of money, if he/she invests it wisely then they could pay someone (lawyers) to think for them the rest of their lives. but what happens if they blow it. you know the lawyers won't stick around if they have no money. then their kind of screwed. |

I think we are looking for both, really. Everyone likes money, of course and maybe you'd sit on your behind for a few years and just have fun and relax. Then you would most likely get bored. Then a few things can happen:
(1) You could start taking drugs because you don't have anything to do.
(2) You would find an "occupation". Probably not a nine to five since hey, you're Rich ... But then you might enjoy your education, if for instance you studied something you were actually interested in. And you have the freedom to take only the perfect job, something that gives you a sense of fulfillment.
(3) You could continue learning just for the sake of learning. I actually loved being in school -- I think having a teacher explain stuff to you is like being entertained.
(4) You could make your own schedule of things to do, like exercise, call friends, go to the mall until you are bored to death and decide to try option (1).
I'd probably take a few classes if I was rich, so yes I think education is key no matter what. |

Money is good, but power is everything.
You can have billions and it can help, but what if we had no money.
It may cost 1 billion dollars to be elected next US president, but the pay is less than $500,000.00.
So why become president?
Because you now have power. Power to make your wants and needs a reality.
Look at the oil producing nations, they can cripple others with a mere flick of a switch it seems.
Power lets you send others to war at your whim, regardless of how others feel about it.
Power over others, and yourself is where the real wealth lies.
With power, you can have and do what money can never buy. |

You have good thinking and tho I don't think education is the entire key it does this; takes to places you would not ordinarily go without it. Poverty imprisons, wealth sets you free. But I know a lot of very well education people that abhors wealth and money but admires there own sense of well being without extravagance. Look instead that education is a "stepping stone". You have a good head, please keep using it. Good Luck |

I totally agree with you. I went to school and get my Bachelors... and now I am working on getting my MBA. I just feel like it is endless nonsense. I do not yet see the light at the end of this education tunnel!! |

You have to work hard to get anywhere in life. Some peope choose education as a path to get there, and others use hard labor. Whether its working hard to get your music made and out, or starting from the bottom of a company and kicking butt to get to the top. |

Education is important of course it is otherwise we'd all be huddle in a cave trying to start a fire with soggy sticks right now.
Money is what we need to survive now it has replaced water, food, heat as the elements of survival. It is love that people search for some people fall in love with money or even themselves as life is more predictable and safe that way. |

I think very few people "make it big" the way some rappers do. I guess it depends on the job you want to do. You probably will have more job prospects if you go to school. |

For a lot of people, its all about the money. It really should be about doing what you love to do each and every day. There is nothing better than loving what you do everyday. I could make a lot of money programming, but I would end up miserable if I did this for the rest of my life. You must find the balance between work and life or work will consume your life. |

Education is NOT the key to life. Relationships are the key to life. Money won't make you happy. It does make life easier for you and (if you have enough) those around you. But, having an "easy life" won't make you happy. It's very custom taylored as to what what will make each one of us happy. Based on your spelling, I would encourage you to read a book for 30 minutes everyday. Expand your mind my friend.

good point ur right. But da right question u should be askin urself iz whether ud rly prefer money over education. I mean education doeznt only help us maintain cash it also givz us a better perspective of life it also helps us make new businesses and get better jobs in order to get money. |

Money is a great leveler. The more that you make the higher level you are at socially. The rappers, and sports stars, are to a great extent uneducated. They are making money due to luck, or physical power. In the end who will have the most money, the attorneys who are employed by them, or the star? |
