Not really. Non conformists look very different from conformists. We are all shapes sizes ages cultures and beliefs. We think outside the box. We don't take for word what someone tells us. We don't believe that the "lines are our friends." The lines do nothing but box us in which is what we hate. |

I shook my head. I'm like, yes you did - you just fit into my rather LARGE category of "people who don't think they belong in a category".

I made a vow to myself when I was 16, I would never get my driver's license, I wanted to show my non-conformity in a diverse way.
I am 51 now, I can drive but I never did get my driver's license. |

I know what you mean. Everybody's unique just like everyone else. It's pretty sick. I think this is best exemplified by things like Myspace and Tagworld. 99% of the people on there have a crappy "emo" photograph in black and white, with them looking sad or disaffected away from the camera. They need a computer, internet, dyed black hair, studded rip-off punk belts, and tight pants to define themselves. Disgusting.
Also, everybody thinks they're either a photographer or a writer/poet. No. There are a ton of crappy "photographers" out there, and even more "writers". Just quit trying to be like every icon of the soi-disant counter culture. It is hypocritical and cheap. |
