It is a phoney as a three dollar bill.. do not in any case give any information to anyone concerning access to your banking account.. Do you really believe that you and you alone have been the sole winner of money and you did not even know about it?.. you will get all kinds of crazy and stupid offers from people who profess to have millions of dollars and need your help.. all of them are scams as is the one about you winning in Africa.. don't be a sucker.. if you ever make the mistake of providing such personal information.. they will draw out all the money that you have available and you will never see it again.. DO NOT RESPOND AND DO NOT GIVE ANYONE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION EVER PERIOD.. IF YOU DO, YOU WILL LOOSE! |

This is a well known scam out of Nigeria, most likely, though places in Taiwan, and Russia are known originators of it as well.
Once they have your bankgin information, your account will be cleaned out, and credit cards opened in your name, and you life will be destroyed. You'll spend many years just clearing your name and getting banks and credit agencies to stop blacklisting you.
You may even get arrested if the identity theft is bad enough. |

Be leery about anything over seas! We once place a dinning room table in local on line ads and were contacted from someone who wrote that it was exactly what they were looking for. However, they were out of country at the time. They wanted us to cash a third party check for $2,000 and just mail back the difference. They trusted us! He would then arrange for someone to pick up and ship the table.
Yeah Right! How could they know this was exactly what they were looking for when we didn't even post a picture. It later came out that this scam was taking hard earned money out of desperate people's pockets.
So back to your question... YES! It's a scam! Nothing comes for free! Delete! Delete! Delete!

This definitely sounds like a scam to me. I just got an email (then 3 more of the same) this week that I won the Ireland lottery! Same deal, though - they wanted a ton of info from me...including my bank account. I would be cautious, and maybe copy part of the email and Google it. That's when I found a ton of websites with the same exact email I got! Good luck, and if this is in any way true, congrats! |
