The only one's I know of are West.com (use to work for them, still technically on the books). It takes about 2 weeks to get on board with them (or longer)...they do a background check, investigation, virtual interview, etc... then you choose which "project" you want to work on... basically you provide customer support to various companies (you choose the company)... then after training x hours, you begin working on your assignment. You can choose your own hours. I use to work at night since I'm a single mom. I'd do it to make extra money..still do. You won't become RICH... NO WAY... but it is extra cash to help you out. Realistically, if you were to work full-time you could actually make around 1500-2000 a month... not a lot at all BUT if you need to stay at home and make SOME money without spending gas, enduring wear and tear on your care, etc... it's ok...
The only other one I know of similar to them is a company called alpineaccess.com... I signed up for them last year and have yet to hear from them regarding the interview process...
Everything else I've seen is an absolute rip off... DO NOT ever fork over money to someone else to run a business. I run my own software development company in the day and all you need is a "service" you can provide, a website/domain/hosting company and some work ethics... Don't be fooled by so-called kits.. it'll never work. If you need a website, please let me know. My website is undergoing some serious changes, but I'll give you a deal.. Plus next week, you'll be able to register for our big-give... a custom website designed by us for free! www.anewit.com !!!
Please keep in mind that so-called business opportunities are different from "work-at-home" opportunities. It's different... a work at home job is exactly that... you work for an employer just as you would in any other circumstance but instead of working in their office, you work from home. WEST.COM and ALPINEACCESS.COM are the ONLY one's I know of like this. The other stuff is just that... pretty fluff. You can make a million if... that's a mighty big IF. RUN FOR COVER when you visit a site and it says... "Make $1000-5000 part-time" or "I'm about to share with you the secret... " or "fill out some envelopes" or "data entry" or "for just 19.99, we'll send you... " or "you don't have to invest alot"... For real legitimate work at home jobs, you don't invest anything but time! NEVER MONEY. PLEASE... if you wanna throw away money, I'll send you a wire account and you can send it to me! ;-) Seriously, don't be gullible. Good luck!
Take care |

There are a lot of ways to earn an income from home. If you are looking for a "job" then you should not have to pay any $ up front. However, if you are looking to start a business from home there will usually be some sort of up front investment just like there would be if you were to start a business on your own. I represent 2 companies from home, both required an initial investment, but they are both legit and I enjoy both very much. These 2 websites are a great resource for info on working from home:

http://www.themompack.com
And here are the 2 companies that I represent if you are interested.

Hi!
I'm a work at home mom... I have a home based business as a designer with Latasia jewelry and love it! The company has been in business for over 15 years and is a member of the DSA. The job is fun, easy and the money is great. I'm not sure what kind of interests you have but it may be an option for you to consider. I'd be happy to send you some info if you'd like and can help you get started for free. I don't want to to break any of the yahoo rules, so if you're intereseted in hearing more, my contact info is on my profile.
Good luck!

MIND THE GAP

99.999 percent of work a home opportunities are scams.
If the want money from you to work a home, it is a scam.
There are thousands of people looking for work that will go to a place of business to work. Why would someone hire a person to work at home when the employee could be in a workplace? |

Hi! Work at home mom here. I've been ripped off a few times by "stay at home" jobs so I know how upsetting it can be. I finally found something that worked for me after months of searching. Its a referral system where big companies reward you with cash and prizes that are completely resellable for a large profit. All it takes is a few referrals a week which is not hard to do. I also know where to send you to get refferals within minutes. I will personally help to to make sure you succeed. If you cant make money with this after following careful instruction I will pay you ten bucks. haha (not kidding) If this sounds like something that would interest you email me! I will answer any questions you have personally. |

I too was in the same boat you are when I finally found an at home business that is a great fit for me and my family. I work 100% online and put in only the hours I want to. Before starting the business I did a google search and I did find some bad press. But after checking into them farther I found the comments were written by people who wanted me to check out their business instead. So I went with my gut.
I dont know if this would be the right match for you or if you are qualified. But you should definitely go to this link and check it out thoroughly. http://www.thousanddollarprofits.com/94218
We too were worried about scams. But this one has been just great. |

The ones that aren't scams actually require work on your part - and if you're in need of money soon then you're likely to be sorely disappointed in any of those as well. Most of the legit opportunities out there take time to build - so if someone makes an outrageous claim of income it probably isn't true ( and those that are true sure didn't make that kind of money when they first began ).
http://working-from-home-ireland.blogspot.com/
Time & effort required - but do your own research on what is best for you, don't take the advice of myself and others as gospel from this type of forum.
http://work-at-home-tips.blogspot.com/
I have other ideas that may help - one of them is an online opportunity but another is one that will require a little effort to market yourself - try some data entry for local businesses, many of them don't have the time to do it in-house and will gladly pay someone else to do it. Professionals are a good place to start, lawyers, doctors, chiropractors, etc - they need their "in-house" folks doing other things rather than busy work.

Hope it helps! |

Try some online jobs, where you don’t have to pay upfront money. Online data entry is an excellent career to consider if you want to work at home. The equipment needed for this type of job is very minimal. You only need a computer with an Internet connection, a table and a comfortable chair. Data entry duties include the inputting of correspondence, reports, and spreadsheets into a home computer and then transmitting that data using the Internet. Work at home data entry personnel may also proofread text, edit information, and maintain databases. Data entry jobs usually offer flexible scheduling, allowing people to work when they want to and as little or as much as they want to. Some of the growing fields for work at home data entry include medical and legal transcription, medical coding and litigation coding.
http://internet--jobs.blogspot.com/
This type of work is becoming so popular that many fraudulent websites have emerged offering data entry jobs, which promise huge profits. The best way to find a legitimate data entry job is visit a reputable career website. You are more likely to find a genuine work at home job using these websites.
http://workathome-sa.blogspot.com/
There are several freelance websites that post freelance data entry jobs. Avoid responding to ads that do not list a company name or contact information. There are many reputable freelance work forums that can provide you with work at home data entry job listings. The forums are usually free to join and provide trustworthy information. Once you have found an advertisement for a work at home data entry job, check out the company by visiting their website. You can also do an online search using the company name and visit the Better Business Bureau website to see if they have been listed as a fraudulent company.

1. WelI I actually take surveys for cash. And yes they do pay as long as you know the good ones. I have some free survey sites that are very reliable just check out my profile by clicking my name or email me for them. I only give sites that I've been paid by so you won't get scammed. They're all reliable and I've never had a problem with them. (I've been doing them for a year now) The best part is that anyone can do them and they're easy. You won't get rich but they definitely help with bills :)
2. Btw all the ones above are spammers and I wouldn't trust them cause they're giving sites I know for a fact are scams |
