Anybody else experienced problems with name brand products from Wal-Mart?
I have purchased items that I have purchased at a local grocery store and are just fine; the antiperspirant works, the cookies are good.
I have then purchased the exact same items at Wal-mart and they seem to be inferior i.e. the antiperspirant doesn't work and the cookies are either overcooked or undercooked.
It almost seems like the companies are giving inferior lots of products to Wal-Mart. Maybe that's how manufacturer's meet Wal-Mart's price demands?
You are correct, in order to meet the prices demanded by the large retailers, manufacturers will change some components or suppliers to get a decent profit margin. It is common for tools sold at Home Depot to have less expensive components than those sold at other retailers.

Either that or Wal Mart orders in huge bulk so it sits in the back storage for a long time and goes bad. Have you checked expiration dates? I don't know that deoderant would go bad though. I used to shop at Wal Mart all the time but I just can't stand it anymore. They never have enough registers open you can never find an employee to help you and if you do, they have no idea what you are looking for or where to find it. I now shop at Target. Anyway, Who knows, maybe Wal Mart does get all the reject products, it sound reasonable.
