It does allow you to live your best life as Oprah says. If you are mature enough to not get caught up using it to buy non necessities and show off, it is wonderful to have and help others with. |

I have to disagree, money isn't freedom. Have you ever tried living on the streets? It really puts your life in a whole new light.
Next time you dump some money at a store, remember there are some who can survive with out a dime to their names. While I was homeless, I didn't have to worry about a thing, I came and went as I wished, traveled as far as I wanted and never starved. Everything I had was given to me and I didn't owe anyone anything. Now I have bills, a mortgage and worry about keeping a job to afford all the "Luxuries". |

I really don't agree that Life is all about money. Granted, You need money to live. But if your talking about your quality of life, I think being happy has alot more to do with it. I dohn't believe you need alot of money to be happy. I right now am the happiest that I have ever been in my life, In fact I don't know how anyone could make me any happier than I am right now. And I don't have alot of money, as long as you know how to budget your money, you can live very happy without alot of money. |

I would say it's about life is at least 65% money.
Money is not *total* freedom. |

No...What most people strive to achieve in life (if they know it or not) is Power. Power over people and things in their life. If you have power over people you can generate/achieve anything you want/need including money. Most people who have money, use it to acquire power. |

I'd disagree. "Money is the root of all evil." "Happiness is not in the mere possession of money; it lies in the joy of achievement, in the thrill of creative effort." |

money has nothing to do with you,it is you who do every thing with money.in my opinion health is more important than any thing to live in this world.you can live in jungle and grow your own food will be organic ,and raise chicken and goat and cow to be self sufficient in your most important necessities of life you will never need money to buy to eat and eat to live to have life,so health can let you through even without money, and by doing all those thing to be self sufficient in your daily usage of groceries you will never have the time to ask this question that what is more important.money brings pain, health brings joy for life.money is some thing but health is every thing.i do not love money,i respect the money but i love life and wants to live healthy. |

Depends on how you define freedom.
A bum on the street is free. A vagabond is free.
I sometimes feel tied down to my possessions. I worry about them being stolen or my home being destroyed in a storm.
No matter how much money you have, you can lose it in a heartbeat.
For me....total freedom would be perfect health.
EDIT: Jonathon is wrong. Money isn't the root of all evil. Jesus said, "The love of money is the root of all evil." |

Mother Teresa didn't have money and was happy. Buddhist Monks don't have money and are happy.
Rich rappers couldn't give up their anger and died violently. Millionaire Lottery winners ended up broke over family feuds and addictions. Recently a big lottery winner was victimized and later murdered. Four young suspects with his possessions and money were caught and will probably most of their lives in prison if convicted.
I was watching 'The Osbournes' Cable TV series and I notice that in spite of their wealth they suffer the same things that average people do. It was like even with all their wealth, they couldn't be protected from boredom, aggravation, sickness and lack of freedom. They have loud neighbors from hell that keep them up all night. Sharon Osbourne got cancer. Poor Ozzy has to work his tail off to keep the money coming. The dogs poop all over the expensive furniture and carpets. Ozzy spends his free time sitting in front of a TV and his son and daughter got their own problems.
So where's the freedom? I guess it's in our minds. |

"Money is Paper"
-Why use paper?
-To separate everything?
I don't agree with money!
- It's all wrong. |
