No. They are actually helping the American economy.
American enconomy benefits more than India and China via outsourcing. However India and China benefit too a lot even if NOT as much as USA.
Its all about hard work (intellectual, emotional, ability to change/adapt, creativity, innovation, risk taking, honesty etc and to some extent physical).
Humans, societies, nations survive on that. Nothing else can hurt as much as the ones above. |

In some ways yes and in some ways no. Many americans think that places like India are deleting jobs in this country with calls centers, however by corporations moving their call centers there, in turn it allows us to have the benefits. For instance, most medical transcription and banking is processed overnight in India and ready for us the next day. |

Nope, we are selling ourselves out pretty much on our own. We sell technology and business capacity to contractors abroad we are selling out jobs. They then know how to do things for us that we are subsequently less and less able to do for ourselves. This is not India or China threatening us, but us putting ourselves at a future disadvantage. |

No. A rising standard of living results from and helps foster more liberty. Liberty is the engine of prosperity for all humans. When the world does better, the USA does better. Will there be growing pains? Of course, but the end result will be a safer, more prosperous, better way of life for all humans on the planet. |

Depends on what you mean by threaten.
They bot are growing fast but they are very small in size compared with US economy so for them to actually catchup it will take a long time.
It is worth considering Japan and EU both economies compete with US and all these economies help each other grow. Similarly most economists expect that growth and demand in China and India will result in more goods and services from other developed economies. |
