What's the difference between asking for help here and/or sending letters, phoning people to ask for assistance? There are plenty of worthy causes out there - so why not use the internet and other sources to try to raise money. I'll bet that they are doing an awful lot to try and raise funds not just using this site. Good luck to you.

Although I understand your need to raise funds, you may wish to consider asking for ideas on an open forum rather than begging!
Also how daft are you to disclose all your personal information on the Internet.
Your name, address, mobile number and email address
Fraudsters would lap up all this information.
