Memorial Day is in May, dear. Labor Day is Monday. There is delivery today but none on Monday.

The post offices will be closed on Monday - it's Labor Day, an official holiday - there won't be mail delivery. Today is just a normal day as far as the post office.

Some post offices in the US are open a half day on Sept 2 this year, and there is mail delivery. They will be closed and there will be no delivery except Special Delivery items on Monday, Sept. 4, which is Labor Day.
