I bid and won on an auction. I won't mention the product but I won on Tuesday of this week. I've paid. Waiting to receive the product. The seller said "it takes time to transfer my info into the dns-something, etc" Well, that was like 3 days ago... I emailed him yesterday about an update, etc. No answer and I saw that he added 4 more auctions so I know he was online... Just wondering how I should procede.

I sell things on ebay (and make my college $ from it), and I think the guy is doing ok. Give him until the end of next week, and if you don't get the product file a dispute (if it was through paypal or come cc processing site) and report them to ebay. That will have given him enough time to send it. |

With Ebay purchases you must be patient. Give your seller at least 10 days from the time you pay in order to send your item before emailing them. Most people who sell on Ebay are selling many items which have to be packaged and sent out on certain days of the week. Whatever you do, do not give bad feedback to a seller before making every attempt to get a refund if you are not happy with your purchase. It is advisable to wait the full 90 days
before giving any negative feedback. Sellers count on their feedback scores to sell their items. You can use this to your advantage when talking to your seller. |

You have to wait atleast 7 days after the auction before you can file a report on him. The main problem dealing with eBay is that you entered a contract with the seller and not eBay itself. Did you check out the seller's profile and feedbacks before you entered their auction? It really doesn't matter but it does tell you something about the seller and if they had any negative feedbacks.
As both a seller and buyer on eBay it really makes me sick how some seller's are ripping off buyer's especally in postage costs. I tried to be as honest as possible with my auctions and never had a complaint but some that I dealt with were real SOB's and took you for everything they could and eBay says they will help but you still end up on the loosing end if the seller won't budge.

I buy and sell on ebay. The timeframe you are speaking of is not unheard of if he is mailing an item but it sounds like he is just transfering ownership of a website to you so I have no real experience with how long this would take but my guess is that he is perhaps collecting a few more subscription payments before transfering everything over? I would contact him and say you expect ownership transferred today or he is going to get some serious negative feedback. That is a serious threat to an ebayer, their reputation is vital to get people to conduct business with them. I recently had a guy ignore my repeated requests to if he had mailed my item or not until I threatened to give him serious negative feedback, then he replied that he had delayed shipment 3 - 4 days AFTER he received my money. It was not a check, it was paypal, so he should've shipped by the next business day, so I did not give him any feedback at all because if I did, it would be negative and say "slow shipper" and that is very serious so I just decided he won't get any feedback, although I could leave him a neutral, that is not good either. Do you see what I mean? Feedback is all important on ebay. Threaten his feedback rating! (Did you check his feedback rating? Maybe it isn't so good in the first place.) Good Luck. |

Tuesday. I know you may be anxious but you need to chill. Sometimes you might get things this quick, but 1 1/2 wks to 2 wks is not unheard of. Give it a few days. |

I agree with most of the answers here. I have both sold and bought many items on eBay. Three days is a very short time to wait. If the person sells lots of items at once he or she might have hundreds of emails to sort through before getting to yours. If you have not heard from the seller or received your item after ten days, then you should try and contact the seller again. If you are not satisfied after that, then contact eBay and PayPal if that is the service you used. |

The basic time frame is ten business days, but first ..How did you pay? check, money order, or use pay pal, cause for certain higher amounts pay pal offer a recover insurance, but if after two weeks you haven't received your merchandise report it to ebay, and above all no out side Ebay contact with this person, as no personal e mails, always go through contact seller on e bay. |

Give him time if they dont answer emails in a week or so then I would reprt them to eBay. I wouldadvise that you wait till last to leave feedback because most people out of spite will leave negative feedback for you if you leave them negative feedback. I have been on eBay for a while now and have only had one item that I paid for and still have not yet recevied so Ithink most on there are good deals. And what in the world did you buy that you dont want to mention. LOL. Hope this helps. |

Contact ebay...It's only been 3 days though. Give it couple more. Did you check his ratings...or customer comments first? It is kinda suspicious that he didn't respond to your email. Hope you didn't buy anything too expensive. |

There is nothing you can do until you wait I week or maybe two, then if you don't get the item, claim a Item not received, where it say to leave feedback. If you paid with paypay and insured the item, they have to give you the money back or another item, if you didn't insurance it, then you are screwed. |

eBay dealers vary. most get there stuff out quickly. Read the auction carefully. If the dealer doesn't follow his own rules or eBay's you can file a complaint with eBay.
Probably it will show up soon. It just takes time. |
