Try gradually turning off more lights as the evening progresses. The brain releases a hormone called Melatonin, but it is only released as light decreases & darkness increases. Light will actually turn the melatonin production off. You can also try drinking some herbal tea. If you don't mind taking herbal supplements, kava kava, chamomile or valerian (be aware this one has a FOUL odor!) are all somewhat effective. Also, you can try taking a calcium/magnesium supplement with your dinner. This will help relax you as the evening wears on. |

Don't drink caffeine late in the day. Good rule to follow is to stop caffeine intake around 2:00 or 3:00 PM at the latest, don't exercise at night, and drink some chamomile tea before bedtime. If none of this works look into taking a supplement by the name of Melatonin. Melatonin is something that the body produces naturally and is much better for you to take as opposed to sleeping pills.

"Melatonin is the all-natural nightcap. It's secreted by the pineal gland, a pea-size structure at the center of the brain, as our eyes register the fall of darkness." A therapist once told me to imagine that I could breath thru my feet. It's a relaxation exercise that sounds really strange bit it does work. Another suggestion would be to buy a book on japanese shiatsu massage, very relaxing. |

Get a good book and a small flashlight. I have read every night before bed for years. It really helps take my mind off things. After 30 or 45 minutes, my eyes get tired and I fall asleep thinking about the story instead of my bills, friends, kids, pets, etc. |

You can try to take a pill that consists of Valerian extract, it should make you calmed down when you're unable to fall sleep. Also taking a warm shower, or drinking warm milk should help ... Well yeah you can get drunk and that certainly will knock you out in no time but I really don't suggest the latter- please. take it as a joke. |

Thjis is a situation where you are getting mentally depressed.firstly before going to sleep have some deep memorising of the events or the work done ny you.In this meantime u will realise ur caaracter and as well u will feel asleep so quickly as ur brain has some deep thoughts(i.e it works concentrately) |
