1. I'd help my Vietnam Veteran friend and his wife get a decent place to live so he wouldn't have to work so hard and I get her medical attention because she's been sick for 5 months now.
2. I'd donate money to our current Veterans arriving home from Iraq and Afghanistan and get help them modify their homes so they can be handicapped accessible.
3. I'd pay my bills, buy a car and a new place to live with plenty of awesome space advantages for my dogs. Then I'd invest what was left over. Wait, there won't be anything left over ah well, oh the joys of spending! lol |

1 million dollars is not really a huge amount of cash. I'd invest, probably in high-yield bonds: this would allow me to pull in, say, 10% a year, which would be nice supplemental income. |
