U.S. (I don't say "America" because most of the Western Hemisphere is filled with "Americans", South and North).
Why? We have freedom, even to the extent of bad-mouthing your own government; Freedom, to pursue your goals without worrying about excessive regulation (we constantly fight regulation, where do you think we got the Wild West image?); Freedom, to go anywhere in the world and bring back the best and make it ours, rather than be stuck with a culture that can't change, won't change. Heck, even our language is changing faster than most countries as a whole.
I'm an elementary school teacher, and I love studying other cultures, present, past and future, hope we bring all of you home with us to make us even stronger. We just finished looking at the possibility of moving to another country and rejected it after extensive study, deciding the U.S. was the best choice. We looked for the sake of our newborn daughter comparing disease, disasters, financial, political, religious, ethical, and other cultural factors and our daughter is VERY important to us. Some good things out there in other countries, in some areas better than the U.S., but in time, because of the way the U.S. is made, we will copy that best and make it ours, or the best will come to us! Welcome to the U.S.! We complain about racism so much that people think we are the most racist country in the world! HAH! Look to see how concerned they are about racism in places that won't talk about it. Look at their populations. We complain loudest about ourselves because we CAN! And we won't settle for imperfect! We want the best and won't stop until we make ourselves the best we can be! We yell about our stubbed toe, while others hide their broken legs.
What's sad is that so many people see this kind of attitude as "U.S. people think they are better than us. NO! We want this for everyone! Then they think we are trying to force them to be like us! Don't let public opinion fool you. The U.S. is great.
However, you may have different needs, and although the U.S. is overall ahead, so many countries are great at things the U.S. is only "good" at. Look around!
However, I've heard Belize is quite nice! |

If you have the money to afford your chosen life style, any place would do. But Australlia beats the rest of the world, for a number of reasons. Great laid back attitude, great people, a good mixture of many nations, no hangups, and politically stable too. No involvment in the internal affairs of the rest of the world. A great coast line, you want,sea, dry land and real life jungles, go trek across the out back, and man the land down under has a great fighting cricket team. |
