i have a huge tree in my front yard. To cut it down would be the best solution, but this tree is huge and it would cost alot. The tree hangs over my driveway and now everytime i park under the tree, i have massive amounts of bird droppings all over my car. It looks like a bird's *** exploded all over it. how should i deal with this problem |

I have a really cool sports car, that is black. Unfortunately, the only thing you can do is throw money at this, but here's what I do.
1. Get a "care" kit and put it in your trunk. I got a cleaner carrier and filled it with cleaning supplies. Have some "wash in a bucket" or light soapy mixture in there and tend to poopy spots as often as possible.
...but it sounds like its raining sh** where you're at so...try this if all else fails:
2. Get a car cover. Wash your car and make sure its dry everynight before you cover it. In your case I would find a washable brand.

I fyou want to save the tree (and you should, trees not only add to your asthetic beauty, but up your land value), and still save the finish on yoru car, try this simple trick:
Take a garden sprayer, one that has a chemical attachment, and goes on top of your hose (you can get these at home depot or even walmart, they are for lawn care pesticides and fertilizer) and fill it with a miz of pepper and water. Spray the tree down. You won;t even notice the pepper smell, but those birds sure will. It won;t hurt the tree, or the birds, but it will encourage them to go find another perch. |
