Take your reciept back to the store (even if you bought it online) and they should give you the $$ difference. I have see this done many times at stores...
Here's a tip - "Hi - I bought this jacket a few days ago, and see it's now on sale.. is there any way I can receive a credit / cash back for the difference?" |

Take it back and ask them to do a price adjustment....most stores will do this within 15 days of purchase as long as you have your reciept |

Yes, take the jacket and receipt in and say you want that price. My mom does it all of the time. |

Take your receipt back to the store and request a price adjustment. If they refuse, here's what you can do. Buy a SECOND jacket at the lower price and then return it using the ORIGINAL receipt.
Most places have a 1 week-30 day price adjustment policy.
Good Luck
(I see you say you bought it online- call the customer service number, and find out about cancelling the order (if it has not shipped) and do so and then re-order. If it has shipped, ask for a credit for the price difference) |

You would need to take the jacket AND the receipt back to the store and ask them for the price difference. They do do that. |

Take the receipt and ad to the store. Usually if it's within a certain time period (usually 30 days) some stores will refund the difference to you. |

is the tag still on it? maybe you can return it and rebuy it or ask them for a credit? |

Many merchants will make a price adjustment on something recently purchased. One thing that I've done in the past is,I take the item and my receipt back to the store and ask for a refund, then after I get my money back, I go and repurchase the item at the new lower price. |

If you have the receipt, and it was just four days ago, bring the jacket into them with the receipt, and tell them you would like the difference back. Assuming you still have the jacket. If they do not allow you, just get a refund and buy it again. Otherwise, give them a call first, and explain the situation, telling them that it is a gift, it is wrapped with the tags off, and you would like a price difference. I do it ALL the time. I don't like being cheap, but as a student, some situations call for it. Especially a $20.00 price drop... |

Most stores will refund the difference if the price drops within two weeks of purchase. Gap, especially, are good are issuing refunds as long you have the receipt. |

Most retailers will do a 30 day price adjustment. Just call customer service! You can check their site first under the customer service FAQs just in case. Even if you get nervous when talking $20 is still worth the effort. I bought my wedding gown from White House Black Market a couple of months ago online and the price dropped two days later. I called and was quickly given a credit for the price difference. The call only took five minutes and was well worth the request. Just be sure to have your receipt in hand and be in front of your computer with the page visible. Good luck! |

You would have to contact the customer service center online with this issue. You could try calling the store as well but ask for a manager. A manager would be more knowledgeable in assisting you in this matter. |

Some stores will let you return an item and repurchase it for the sale price. Kohl's is good about it, but I don't know how nice Abercrombie is. |

Take the receipt and coat back, ask for the lower price. If they don't give it to you, return it and buy it again at the discounted price! |

Talk to the manager of the store. You would be surprised at what they would be willing to offer you. At the very least, since you only bought it four days ago, they will give you the $20, or a store credit. |

Ask them if they will do an adjustment due to an item you just bought went on sale. Some stores will give you the difference back to you if the sale is within so many days of the purchase. Some stores are not no nice. In that case, you have to take it back for a refund and the rebuy it for the cheaper price. |

Well that happened to me before...and i got to get some of my money back..but it all depends on the store and if they are willing to be nice about it.. : ) |

Take back the jacket and they will give you the sale price. Most stores do this if you have purchased the product within the 30 day limit period. |

He is going to wear it and I am afraid you are as well (the difference in price that is!). I know it is not funny but I think you'll find it is a fair answer. |

Buy the cheaper one ( in the same size)
then return it with the higher priced receipt. |

You can ask, but they are under no obligation to give you the reduced price, since they charged you the correct amount when you bought it. However, many stores will refund you the difference as a customer satisfaction measure. |

I would take the receipt to the store and ask for a credit. Of course, I am kinda bold in these things....I wouldn't call, I would totally show up in person. Take a bold friend if you are shy about it. Even if they give you a store credit, it would be worth it? Yes?
If you don't ask.....you don't get!!!!!! |

Very likely. I'd suggest you go in person, ask to speak to the manager, take your purchase information and say, pretty much what you told us.
I bought this as a birthday gift less than a week ago and the price is down $20 now. I'm sure you value your customers and hope you will give me the discount.
There's a decent chance. If you're calm and polite and assertive you probably can get it or at worst a store credit.
Good luck. |

You can try calling the store you bought it at and ask- but usually they won't let you get that $20 dollars off if you already bought it.
Sorry! best of luck though!! |

I'm not sure you can do that when the sales are on.... |

You can't do that. They won't let you, unless you say something's wrong with the jacket. That's just how the world works, prices on things drop... everyone cannot take something back as soon as the price drops. That wouldn't be any good for the economy! |
